Working at Harbor

Working at Harbor Country Day School is an experience to cherish. Harbor teachers and staff belong to a small academic institution where our educational values are shared and where we work together toward a common goal.

While our primary purpose at Harbor is to create an experience that completely educates our students, we are also focused on growing as professionals and on building community among all constituencies.  Harbor teachers find ample opportunity to further their education or hone their skills. NYSAIS and NAIS conferences, graduate degree studies at local universities, committee work and full faculty meetings are all times when we are asked to dig deep and examine our profession clearly. We are asked to answer important questions that define our craft.

We all play important roles in the lives of our students. To that end, we value community and team work. We strive to model both ethical behavior and best teaching practices, and in turn, we teach students both by example and by instruction.  Community and common values are cornerstones of our program.

Full-time faculty and staff members receive several benefits; compensation packages include optional participation in TIAA-CREF, health benefits, SRA options, tuition remission, and tuition assistance towards graduate studies.
